Life is struggle. Defend what you love, or someone will take it from you. It doesn't matter whether it is Serbia, Scotland, Germany, Britain, Ireland, France, Poland, Romania, Greece... We all face a choice: fight or perish. And we shall not perish. In Serbia we say: It is better to die in combat and be remembered by our grandchildren than to live and be forgotten by our children. It is time to show what we are made of. No more bullshit.
If I wanted to convey the real meaning of the song, it would be "Move your ass, Serb, if you want your fatherland to live on". That is not the literal translation, but that is what it really means. The song is urging us to get off our asses and do something before it is too late. And it applies to all European countries. What we do now is how generations will remember us for centuries and millennia to come. How do you want to be remembered?
