I’ve been rewatching Avatar The Last Airbender recently for the first time in years, and have been reminded how great of a series it is. The characters, the story, the writing, and music are all simply outstanding. The Tales of Ba Sing Se is one of my favorite episodes, and the scene where Iroh sings this very song I found so moving I had to learn it. This song was originally played on the Koto, (or Guzheng possibly? Let me know) and considering the similarities in timbre of the Banjo and Koto, I thought it would sound great played on the banjo.
