(1 Mar 2019) French presidential diplomacy adviser Philippe Etienne met senior Chinese officials in Beijing, including Vice Premier Hu Chunhua and senior Cabinet official, Yang Jiechi.
The meetings took place Friday afternoon in Beijing's Great Hall of the People.
During the visit, Hu said China was willing to work towards signing agreements together with France.
Yang echoed those views, saying he looked forward to promoting relations between the two countries.
Etienne's visit follows Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to France in January.
