Complete solution of the problem in Android Studio as:

error:
Failed to open a zip file. Gradle dependency cache may be corrupt (this sometimes occurs after a network connection timeout.)

Re-download dependencies and sync project (requires network)

So the solution is mentioned in this video. This happens because the gradle version does not match while building a new project. You can simply download the gradle from the following link and extract and place the zip file in the android studio gradle folder where you install the android studio. I have installed the android studio in C drive so my link is something like. C:\Program Files\Android\Android Studio\gradle
