Dorset Police led a successful day of action in the county on Tuesday 1 April, denying criminals the use of the roads through Automatic Number Plate Recognition Technology (ANPR).

A total of 162 vehicles were stopped, 12 people were arrested and 21 vehicles were seized.
Among the arrests, two people were detained for driving while disqualified, one arrest was made in connection with the theft of a vehicle and one person was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs.
