Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra released the party's first list of 125 candidates for Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls 2022 that are due to start on February 10. The first list consists of a total of 125 candidates. 40% of the total tickets have been given to women candidates, while 40% are youth candidates. While announcing the candidate list in her press conference, Priyanka Gandhi said that Congress is offering tickets to 50 women out of 125 total candidates in the first list. The notable mention is of Asha Devi, the mother of the Unnao rape victim, has also got a ticket from the Congress party. From Shahjahanpur, we have fielded Asha worker Poonam Pandey who led agitation for a raise in honorarium," Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said. Elections for the 403 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases starting February 10, the Election Commission said. The polling in Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, and March 3 and 7 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10. Watch the full video to know more!
