DR. STEVEN MASLEY'S BOOK:
Smart Fat: Eat More Fat. Lose More Weight. Get Healthy Now.
To learn more, visit: [ Ссылка ]
The innovative guide that reveals how eating more fat—the smart kind—is the key to health, longevity, and permanent weight loss. For years experts have told us that eating fat is bad. But by banning fat from our diets, we’ve deprived ourselves of considerable health benefits—and have actually sabotaged our own efforts to lose weight. Though they originally came from vastly different schools of thought about diet and weight loss, renowned nutritionist Jonny Bowden and well-respected physician Steven Masley independently came to the same conclusion about why so many people continually fail to shed pounds and get healthy. It all comes back to a distinction far more important than calories vs. carbs or paleo vs. plant-based: smart fat vs. dumb fat. In Smart Fat, they explain the amazing properties of healthy fat, including its ability to balance hormones for increased energy and appetite control, and its incredible anti-inflammatory benefits. The solution for slimming down—and keeping the pounds off for life—is to “smart-fat” your meals, incorporating smart fats with fiber, protein, and most importantly, flavor. Bowden and Masley identify smart fats, explain what not to eat, and provide a thirty-day meal plan and fifty recipes based on the magic formula of fat, fiber, protein, and flavor. It’s time to unlearn what we think we know about food. Getting smart about fat—and everything you eat—and learning to smart-fat your meals is the only solution you'll ever need.

Dr. Steven:
What is the number one cause of heart disease, memory loss, weight gain, and diabetes?
Dr. Steven Masley:
It’s sugar intake. We’re eating too much sugar and refined flour. It’s not the fat. It’s not your cholesterol. It’s the sugar. If you want to really make a difference for your health, cut out the sugar and add smart fat.
Dr. Steven:
Nice. Nice. Now, what is a smart fat that people should add once they get rid of the sugar?
Dr. Steven Masley:
Well, smart fats have clinical proven benefits. Like they prevent heart disease, they prevent death. It would be like avocado. Like on the cover, I love this avocado.
Dr. Steven:
Yes. Yes.
Dr. Steven Masley:
Nuts, yes, we should eat more nuts or nut oils and olive oil. Of course, yes, we can use olive oil.
Dr. Steven:
Yes.
Dr. Steven Masley:
When we look at smart, other smart fats it would be like salmon, cold-water fish, dark chocolate. I want everybody—you have to have dark chocolate, one serving every day, an ounce. That’s like about that much every day dark chocolate. You heard it from me, at least 72% dark chocolate.
Dr. Steven:
Seventy-Two percent. I was going to say, what’s the percentage because you go to Whole Foods and you see these percentages, but it’s—
Dr. Steven Masley:
Yeah, 72, 74.
Dr. Steven:
Is it going to taste bitter, though? I mean I want my, I want to get my chocolate on.
Dr. Steven Masley:
Awesome. Awesome.
Dr. Steven:
It tastes good?
Dr. Steven Masley:
Awesome.
Dr. Steven:
I gots to get my chocolate on.
Dr. Steven Masley:
You do, every day. Doctor, my prescription.
Dr. Steven:
All right, well—
Dr. Steven Masley:
But five servings of smart fat a day; nuts, olive oil, nut oils, coconut oil, avocado, salmon, sole and dark chocolate.
Dr. Steven:
I love sole. Dover sole. Dark chocolate.
Dr. Steven Masley:
Yes, cold water fish.
