Here's a video from our hike up to the top of Lone Cone Mountain on Meares Islands in Clayoquot Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
This is a fun and challenging hike from sealevel up to 730 m. The summit of Lone Cone Mountain has amazing views of Tofino, Pacific Rim National Park and Clayoquot Sound.
The place to start is at the Lone Cone Campground and Hostel run by the Ahousaht First Nations on Meares Island. It is a 20-minute watertaxi ride from the town of Tofino, British Columbia.
