is an electronic device that
automatically reacts to the emission of
a Radar. This enhances the visibility
on a radar screen. Use to ease the
search of a shipin distress
EPIRB - ( EMERGENCY POSITION INDICATING
RADIO BEACON)
Use to help search n rescue authorities
find people in distress. When activated
it emits a continous distinctive radio
distress signal for atleast 48 hrs.
ECHO SOUNDER - A device for determining
the depth of the seabed or detecting
object in water by measuring the time
taken for sound e hoes to return to the
listener.
Barometer- An instrument measuring athmos

Engine Telegraph-Iis a communications

Portable Two Way VHF radiotelephone -
equipment is used fo communications
between survival craft and rescue
vessels. It may also be used for
onboard communications on channels
15 and 17. Newer model automatically
reduce the power to 1 W when these
channels are selected. The equipment
typically comprises a small hand-held
transceiver with integral antenna.
