"Fanga Alafia" is a song from West Africa meaning "greetings and blessings" in the Yoruba language. There are many versions of the tune in video form, in audio, in lesson plans, and often in a platform for group drumming. For this version, we give you lots of options for your young singers and players. The vocals are 2-part, though you can use just part 1 in unison. Then, we have recorders – a soprano part that requires D, E, G, A, C; and an alto recorder part, definitely optional, that is fit for any beginning alto player.
