Here is my summary of the 2022 National Outdoor Expo at the NEC, Birmingham. I've come here to find the very latest 2022 camping gear and 2022 hiking gear perfect to enhance my wild camping adventures.

The outdoor expo has everything from tents to backpacking to camping stoves to camper vans!

There is a great mixture of everything outdoors. Most of my time was spent looking at jackets, hiking boots, tents and camping equipment and dreaming of vw campervans. There's some really cool camping gadgets out there too.

I picked up a great bit of budget camping gear from decathlon and a more expensive jetboil camping stove. I also treated myself to a beautifully made Bear Blades EDC knife to have a play with next time I'm wild camping in the woods. I stopped short of treating myself again to a Cotopaxi down jacket that looked really cool in retro colours.

The hiking gear comes on such a long way each year incorporating new technology into their hiking clothing.

Overall I wish there was a bit more camping gear 2022 but it's difficult times for all businesses at the moment. Hopefully the show will be bigger and better next year with even more backpacking gear.
