It's early September and time to start autumn feeding of our honeybees in the poly hives and in all of our apiries where they need feeding. Today I checked one of our maisemore commercial poly hives to see how they had progressed and added a little more sugar syrup in the form of a heavy sugar syrup to the feeder.

Maisemore Apiaries have supplied me with equipment to stock an apiary with 12 x poly commercial hives complete with frame and foundation. They also sent along two supers for each hive complete with foundation and frames, a twin hive stand and two commercial poly nucs. The hives come complete with Miller style feeders and straps to hold everything in one place.

Over the coming weeks and months of the beekeeping season I will record how we get on with these hives and show everything that happens “Warts “n” All”!
