Winter Storm Outlook...A Winter Storm pattern really begins to kick in for the New Year, and especially later toward the middle of January as arctic blast combines with a very active jet stream branch that may bring some good chances for east coast snowstorms. NAO & MJO index really begin to align for a perfect winter storm pattern, which we haven't seen in quite some time! Complete details on snowfall increasing from parts of the mid & deep south, through Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, Mid Atlantic, into the Northeast. Plus I have your snow outlook for Canada as well.
***Tropical Update...Unusual Caribbean tropical moisture continues through the mid part of January bringing a heavy rain and flood threat through parts of the Caribbean Islands from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Honduras, & Belize. Plus I take you to the western Pacific on your complete typhoon outlook, especially for the Philippines.
