What is the best camera for wildlife photography? What is the best lens for wildlife photography? These are two questions that I hear a lot when talking to other photographers, and I finally found the answer!
Recently I did something that I've never done before in all my years as a photographer. I dropped my camera and lens... I still don't know how it happened, but as soon as they hit the ground my beloved Canon 100-500mm broke wide open. This unfortunate accident gave me the opportunity to analyze my photography and my ideal camera and lens combination. With a broken lens I decided to try a number of new lenses to see what really is best for wildlife and bird photography, and I found something interesting. Follow along this week as I show you the process for finding the perfect camera and lens for wildlife photography and to see the results and the new lens in my backpack.
