Music: Weekend - Dirk Reichardt
The Red Line of MARTA Rail System opened in 1996. While it goes all the way north to the "outer ring" of Atlanta, it shares stations, tunnels and rails from Lindbergh Center Station all the way south to Airport Station with the Gold Line, which opened the first section in 1981. With a total length of 24.1 miles and 19 stations along the way, it connects up the downtown metropolitan Atlanta district, Hartzfield-Jackson Atlanta Internation Airport, Atlanta Bus Terminal, Fox Theater, Georgia Institute of Technology, and High Museum of Art.
While most trains running on the Red Line are CQ310s made by Société Franco-Belge in 1979-1981, as well as CQ311s made by Hitachi in 1984-1988, AnsaldoBreda's 2001-2005 CQ312 are also seen running on this line. A 6-car train could be formed by three sets of married couple train cars consisted of different train models. This video was recorded on a CQ311, and I have asked the operator nicely bedore filming.
Thanks for watching!
