This video is to bring you a closer look at the Pemko P393Open cell soft foam tape. This is what it looks like when you buy it and available only in 17ft rolls. Gray foam and there an image below this video shows everything important dimensionally about the item. P393 is 1/2" x 1/2" and very typical item and is going to be used in a variety of applications. People use this for the intended application of sealing doors and sometimes windows or the lower sash of a double hung window. I've had people use this when people are putting a cab on a pickup truck. Given the low cost and ease of installation its hard to argue not to have rolls of this anywhere it makes sense. People have also used this sort of material for solving problems that should have been though of when doors and the frames were ordered so it has been used as a Band-Aid as well. Again because of the low cost you can continue to get useful service out of this item. It is a standard material and you can expect not to get a lifetime use out of it. There is an image below this video to the installation instructions and those are nice. That is also what is on the backside of the packaging and it shows this item and its sister products so that you can see all the other part numbers. Those part numbers go with different workable with temperature ranges. You can see the P393 is extremely capable of temperature ranges. I couldn’t imagine using it where it was quite that warm and know where people were using it at 200 degrees. The adhesive will work the best if your jamb is completely clean and free of any debris, dust, oil, etc. You will want to push firmly as you are putting it on. A 17ft roll is going to do a typical 3ftx7ft door meaning 7ft, 3ft, 7ft that is 17feet. If you have doors bigger than that you will need to order more.
