The distillery has a wonderful relationship with HRH Charles III, who was kind enough to both open the distillery in the summer of 2007 and take ownership of some casks of our maturing whisky.

Our Royal range is bottled only on the birth, marriage, coronation & jubilee of those in direct line to the throne. These are rare events that we believe should be celebrated, and the resulting collection of whiskies is well worth owning and drinking.

This whisky created to celebrate the coronation is a wonderful mix of our single malt whiskies matured in both ex-bourbon casks and PX sherry casks, the resulting golden-coloured whisky has a wonderful aroma of toffee, cherries and baked apples; on the palate, the toffee turns to chocolate and is joined by tastes of nuts and figs; after a chance to breathe in the glass, this whisky becomes fuller and sweeter.
