Vaishno Devi (also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta, Ambe,Sheranwali and Vaishnavi) is a manifestation of the Hindu mother goddess Shakti or Durga. Vaishno Devi is worshipped as goddess Durga in the Vaishno Devi Temple situated in Katra. According to the legends, Vaishnavi is believed to be the combined form of the goddesses Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasarasvati which are the three main forms of goddess Durga according to the Devi Mahatmya
