FREE AND EASY WANDERING
Paul Weinfield
I see the fortune teller has put her cards away.
The caravan that brought me here has long since gone astray
but there's a free and easy wandering
I'm learning to depend upon each day.
Free and easy wandering, wandering along in my own way.
I've left my home a hundred times but it always followed me.
The more I struggle with a place, the more I never flee.
But there's a free and easy wandering
in learning how to love what has to be.
Free and easy wandering,
wandering along effortlessly.
So no more reaching for a star.
No more looking to get far.
No more holding life to a par.
Just let all things be what they are.
Let all things be what they are.
Let all things be what they are.
So don't try to fix me, because there's nothing you could mend.
Just the dying expectations we're too tired to defend.
It was free and easy wandering
that first carried me to you, my friend.
And it's free and easy wandering
that always brings me back to you again.
So no more reaching for a star.
No more looking to get far.
No more holding life to a par.
Just let all things be what they are.
Let all things be what they are.
Let all things be what they are. (etc)
