In this video I'm going to show you how I made this cloisonne enamel cute dog pendant using fine silver and vitreous enamel. I'm making a square pendant with the sides folded up to frame it nicely. I show the whole process of how to fold up the sides.
The next step is to apply counter enamel on the back. After firing it I work on the front starting with sifting the clear coat. I'm firing it in my kiln.
After that I'm folding the wires to match the design using my pliers and a tweezer. Cloisonne wires are flat wires standing on their edges. When it's done I place them on the surface of the pendant using glue. I fire it to make the wires stick to the base coat.
Next I'm applying the colors, firing it and repeat the process two more times.
Last step is the sanding process. Enamel loses it's shine during this process so I fire it again to get the shine back.
And it's done! I hope you like it and learned something new!
Thanks for watching!
