Parasail Malfunction and Injury Gages Lake June 18, 2000. Don Miller was interested in purchasing my parasail and wanted to take it for a test fly. Shortly after takeoff the quick release came loose and the metal part beaned him between the eyes. I felt bad because a friend was injured so I sold a parasail the next day on eBay.
