Equity mutual fund inflows in December surged by 14.3%, reaching ₹41,136 crore, up from ₹35,927.3 crore in November, according to Association of Mutual Fuds in India (AMFI) data. Sectoral and thematic funds saw the most significant growth. The inflows doubled to ₹15,331.5 crore from ₹7,658 crore in November.
Meanwhile, large cap funds recorded a drop in inflows to ₹2,011 crore from ₹2,547.9 crore the previous month.
Mid cap funds saw modest growth, with ₹5,093 crore inflow, up from ₹4,883.4 crore. Small Cap funds fared better, with inflows rising to ₹4,668 crore, an increase from ₹4,112 crore in November.
