In episode 3 of the Snake Run mountain bike trail build, I learn how to build a mountain bike drop out of wood.
I learn to debark logs and cut them up with a chainsaw to build my biggest mountain bike drop yet. The results look amazing and it rides so smoothly.
I build a mountain bike bridge that attaches to the top of an old tree stump. I chickened out of hitting it the first time so I built a chicken bridge that means you don’t have to get extreme every time you want to ride the mountain bike feature. If you are a beginner you can ride along the bridge and roll the drop. If you want to get gnarly you can remove the portable chicken bridge and hit the huge gap.
This backyard mountain bike trail is so much fun to build and ride and the stump drop is the current star of the show.
