Dr. Caridi will typically see his patients 5-7 days after their rhinoplasty to remove the splint and columella sutures. This is the first time the patient will see his or her nose without the splint. It is typical to see significant bruising and swelling at this point. Most patients feel it is still much better then their original nose. Swelling can last up to 2 years post op but the biggest changes are seen after 6 weeks.
Dr. Caridi and nurse Lacy describe how to properly care for your nose moving forward. Dr. Caridi keeps a detailed record of his surgery so he is constantly learning from his technique’s. In this video Dr.Caridi shows first hand the notes from the patient's procedure. He considers a rhinoplasty to be a true art form.
This patient came to us with complaints about the length of her nose as well as the irregularities to the tip. We are grateful she has allowed us to document her journey for educational purposes. Patients can familiarize themselves with the entire process from beginning to end so they are informed and therefore less anxious. We want this to be fun and life changing.
