This is the first version of Neil's first chart hit, recorded on Oct. 27, 1958 at Neil's very first RCA recording session. Note that the sax playing in the background (by the great King Curtis) was cut from the final version, recorded three days later when Neil and producer Al Nevins went back to the studio to get the sound that they wanted.
