What is data mining?
Data mining is the process of discovering and extracting patterns within large datasets. It includes transforming raw data into valuable insights.
The process of data mining includes:
Collecting unstructured data. Organizations gather data directly, like surveys, or indirectly through user activity tracking and public data web scraping. Then, they store it on physical or cloud servers.
Step two - Identifying patterns. Data analysts determine the specific patterns within the collected data.
Next, processing the data is processed and results are cross-checked. This step ensures the patterns found are accurate and meaningful.
Last, the organized data is presented in an easily understandable format, often through charts or graphs.
