George Maharis began his TV career in 1960 playing Buzz Murdock in “Route 66”. As he recording artist, he signed for Columbia in 1962 and released about a dozen 45s over 4 years, often working with the best arrangers of the day, such as Joe Sherman, Robert Mersey, Don Costa and Charlie Calello.
Charlie arranged many of the 4 Seasons’ hits, including “Let’s Hang On” and “Working My Way Back To You”, both written by Sandy Linzer and Denny Randell.
Frankie Valli released his version of “Ivy” as the b-side of “The Proud One and on his fist solo LP, Frankie Valli Solo”. His arrangement was by Herb Bernstein.
