Celebrating 13 years of the Thames Festival, this year the Thames Festival night carnival will be one of the biggest yet. With an incredible display of magical performers, lights and carnival floats, the show will be a spectacular end to the summer. Night procession With carnival performers creating a fabulous show all the way along the river Thames, the illuminated Thames Festival night carnival starts at the Victoria Embankment and travels east, crossing over Blackfriars Bridge before travelling west along Upper Ground and coming to a head at the Royal National Theatre, where all 2,000 performers gather together in a gigantic performance. Illuminated parade Full of beautiful lights and performers from all over the world, the Thames Festival night carnival is a truly spectacular event that should be seen by everyone with a love for carnival and festivals celebrations. Musicians, dancers, lanterns and illuminated costumes all come together in one fabulous display of light and colour to perform their unique works. Fireworks display Following immediately after the Thames Festival night carnival, a spectacular fireworks display will mark the end of the whole festival and the summer itself with a riotous burst of colour, music and light. With thousands of performers at the night procession and the grand pyrotechnics display, the festival will close with an electric atmosphere.
