The Metro Card in Valencia allows you travel on Buses, Trams and the Metro.
We purchased the one card, which we could top up when required. We purchased the 10 ride option, which gave us 10 rides between the both of us, on the bus, tram or metro.
In our experience it was cheaper to purchase the metro card and top up as and when required. Also choose zones AB if you are travelling outside zone A. For the airport, either purchase 1 ticket to the airport, or purchase AB+
The Airport is the only destination that's outside zone A and B, so you must include this in your ticket to allow exit at the airport.
We topped the metro card up twice, which cost us in total about 12 euros. This will depend on how often you plan to use the public transport links in Valencia.
