And I said, “That’s how I used to feel until I actually had it and I had to make that decision.” It's a lot. Yeah more difficult when you really have to go through that. And figure out what you're going to do and my surgeon, you know, I was concerned about what am I going to look like afterwards? She said well, you're never going to look the same. They're not going to look the same. And I said that's not good enough for me. I've got to find a better place to go.

Katrina is in the process of writing a book that narrates her journey with breast cancer. Unlike traditional memoirs on the subject, she aims to present her story in a novelistic format, giving cancer and her brain their own characters.
