The Inspector General of Government Beti Kamya implored the district and municipality accounting officers to join her in the fight through the whistle-blowers act, in order to stamp out corruption in local government. Kamya has promised to reward Chief Administrative Officers with 5% of the money recovered from the proceeds of corruption and embezzlement of public funds.
