President Cyril Ramaphosa has read the riot act to the anarchists and perpetrators of the violence and looting in KwaZulu-Natal. He says they are circling around the instigators of the violence, one of them has been arrested. He conceded that they could have done better. He affirmed that they are rolling out the deployment of the defence force officials and in a short while they will be all over the place. The President is there to assess the impact of recent public violence and the deployment of security forces. The President will interact with the provincial government and security forces.
President Ramaphosa's visit follows government's engagement throughout this week with different sectors of society, including organised business, interfaith leaders and leaders of political parties represented in Parliament.
