Me playing Icicle Works on Commodore Plus/4 - 1985
This review was requested by some youtube users so I thought I'll do them the favour and do a short video review on Icicle Works. The aim of the game: As Santa you have to collect in each level all christmas gifts which are scattered around on the north pole. Watch the time limit and falling giant snowballs not to hit you! On the next levels polar bears and penguins keep chasing you. As soon as you have collected one gift completely you can skip to the next room by entering a door at the side of the screen.

To be fair, this game is not really bad but there are some things that really pisses me off. First of all, the sound! The sound is so annoying it really drives me crazy! Next the game has a very hard gameplay. Man, this game was made for kids! Have mercy! And finally the story: On which planet does this take place? Have you ever heard about penguins living together with polar bears on the same (north) pole? What is next? Maybe Godzilla lives there too?

Anyway, for it's time it was a good game. If you like these "Rockman" style games then give Icicle Works a try.
Ah yes, you need 64 KB RAM to get this masterpiece fired up.
