Even after Ryki and his Brother cut the tree, I still had to cut the trunk, or rather half of the trunk. Scrapper Jim tried for the whole day (for $70) – but he couldn’t. I did cut some pieces with the heavy duty Milwaukee saw-zall, but couldn’t move it. Finally I bought new blade and chain, and Jurek fixed my chain saw, which still do not oil the chain, and gets very hot, but he managed to cut the rest of the stump, so the bilco door could be put back into the original position. Still will have to build some kind of the right wall with treated 2x6s and plywood, but at least it can normally close and looks flat like it should.
Later I cleaned the metal basement bilco door with rotating metal brush from rust and painted it on both sides with multi-surface primer (also for metal) in white. Next I painted the bilco door with oil-based paint in red brick.
