One day a year, the high priest would do all the work to atone for the sins of the people. If that doesn't scream 'Jesus' I don't know what does! Join us as we dive into Leviticus 16 to see a picture of how Jesus atones for our sins from the Old Testament!
Something that didn't get brought out in the video but is worth mentioning (i.e. I SHOULD have put it in the video) is that all of the purification for the high priest points to the perfect purity of Jesus. He is the only one who is spiritually white as snow. In order to represent Jesus in this way, the high priest needed to wash with water, put on the white uniform, and make a sacrifice for himself, all before he could serve as a picture of Jesus.
