Lithuania is enhancing its defense capabilities by acquiring the advanced CV-90 tracked infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) from BAE Systems Hägglunds. In response to increasing security challenges, Lithuania aims to modernize its military by incorporating these versatile armored vehicles, crucial for achieving full operational capability by 2030. This acquisition will also foster long-term industrial cooperation, integrating Lithuania into the CV-90 supply chain. With a robust design and superior firepower, the CV-90 provides the agility and protection needed in modern combat. This step is part of Lithuania’s broader effort to strengthen its defense alongside Baltic neighbors like Latvia and Estonia.
