I recommend you watch The Shepherd's Advent OVA (Abyssal Chronicles subbed it) because what I recorded is basically the same, so you'll understand what's going on.
Credits to shockinblue of Gamefaqs, thanks to her walkthrough and the summaries she does about the story! I also added some things about what I can understand, but as they may be wrong, don't take it at face value.

After returning to Sorey's house for another scene, he asks about the girl's home, Ladylake, the capital of the Hyland kingdom. He says that he's read about the legend where the sacred sword at Ladylake, if drawn, claims the wielder as the next Shepherd.
Sorey also says he'll help her with her preparations with her trip in the morning. Next day, they head outside the village to hunt some boars.

At night, Sorey will be reading his book as the girl wakes up, Sorey apologizes if he has woken her up. The girl will say the world's been experiencing a lot of disasters lately. And she's trying to find a way to cure it, by finding the next Shepherd, even if it is just a legend. She's worried the most about the possibility of a war between the two kingdoms.

Next day and before leaving, the girl introduces herself as Alicia and she says she truly believes that Seraphs exist, that they're not just fairytales. She thanks Sorey for helping her and says he is really a good person.
The festival of the sacred sword is about to begin in Ladylake and asks if he's willing to participate. Before she leaves, she wants him to think about it, because she thinks the Shepherd in the legend would be someone like him.

When Alicia has left, Mikleo hands Sorey a knife that is hers, with a symbol of the royal family.
While Gramps is talking, he will sense an enemy and orders the Seraphs to find the intruder who dares to hide his presence because it is most likely a Hellion.

Sorey and Mikleo will head to the ruins to investigate. They hear a scream, only to see Maisen being eaten (yikes, poor Maisen). This strange guy's either a Hellion or at least possessed by one, so the boys fight him.

The battle didn't make much impact on him and swallows Maisen (yikes again). He is ready to attack Sorey and Mikleo again but before he can do so, the villagers arrive and this fox guy will slip away saying that his "main dish" isn't there.

Back in the village, Sorey will connect the creepy guy's goal to Alicia and decides to go after her. Near the village exit Sorey will
apologize for leaving without saying anything and near the southern exit, Mikleo will surprise Sorey and join him. He also gives him Gramps' pipe to sell if he ever needs money in the human world along with the message "be free, and live the life you want to with all you have".
