A young boy has been found dead on a day-care minibus in Far North Queensland.
The three-year-old was found aboard the vehicle outside an education facility in the town of Edmonton, south of Cairns.
Police said he was due to be delivered to a day care centre but was found dead by the bus driver.
Police could not confirm if he had been left in the vehicle throughout the day.
Detectives from the Child Protection Investigation Unit are investigating.
Goodstart Early Learning said they were devastated by the news.
Police said the boy's mother had been notified and a report was being prepared for the coroner.
