Brian Yokoyama, Athletic Director of Special Events at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif., announces adjustments to the historic cross country course for the first time in 48 years at a press conference July 27. Yokoyama highlighted changes for high school competition that feature the layout being extended to a full 3-mile course, Poop-Out Hill no longer being included and races concluding inside Hilmer Lodge Stadium. The adjusted layout is expected to be used for the 76th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 25-26, in addition to the CIF-Southern Section prelims and championship races in November. The Foot Locker West Regionals are also scheduled to be held Dec. 7 at Mt. SAC, although the 5-kilometer course for the annual event has yet to be finalized.
