Why HBO CANCELLED Game Of Thrones Prequel 'Blood Moon'..

Welcome back to Recap District, today on this channel we are going to talk about “ What we know about the canceled Game of Thrones prequel + Was the Time Jump in ‘House of the Dragon’ a Success?” House of the Dragon isn’t the only Game of Thrones prequel. It is the first to make it to the screen. Back in 2018, HBO announced a pilot for a now-canceled Game of Thrones prequel – Bloodmoon. It even entered development, and a $30 million pilot episode was made.

Bloodmoon would have taken place years before Game of Thrones during the fabled Age of Heroes and the wintry apocalypse known as The Long Night. Chris Ryan, Joanna Robinson, and Mallory Rubin discuss Episode 6 of House of the Dragon and the decision to jump 10 years into the future and thus change much of the original cast. They talk about the performances of the new cast members, what the point of the first five episodes was, and whether they found the time jump to be successful or not.
