These shutters are battery operated but they could be solar operated. They have a small motor in the side stile of the shutter with IR remote control allowing you to automatically adjust the louvres blades from the comfort of your chair.
Remote control shutters are great in cinema rooms and can be added to all in remotes.
If you have high window that you can not reach, a remote option could be your answer.
Coming soon - These shutters are being upgraded to a radio controlled version allowing you to set a time delay so the shutters open and close automatically. Individual louvre sections can be opened independently from other louvre sections providing far better control.
