I found pickup shopping to be very difficult. There aren't many high fidelity audio demos and comparing pickups when they're in different guitars played by different people can be difficult. I am not much of an acoustic player, but in this video, I do some simple comparisons of the M1Active vs the M80.

Both are in the same guitar, same recording settings, and when editing is applied it is the same setting there as well. Ideally, one would EQ each guitar slightly differently, but I wanted a more scientific comparison. I hope you find this helpful!

Finally, I'll say that the best part about this demo is that both pickups connect to the jack with a 1/8th inch cable so they can be swapped on the fly with a simple screwdriver so the comparison was very easy!
