I wanted to test tranexamic acid as it seemed to have great reviews for lightening and brightening the skin which is just what I'm looking for right now. First up, my thoughts on The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Overnight Treatment.

My skin: Dry; Dehydrated; Redness; Dull; Sensitised; Mature (40+).

In order to measure any skin changes over time, I do use a small ring light to compensate for shadows and/or changes from natural daylight, thereby facilitating some level of consistency between videos. As a rule, I film without wearing makeup (eyes and lips aside) so that it's my actual skin on camera.
