BEST SPORTS & WILDLIFE LENS Tamron 150-500mm f5-6.7

So the target audience Tamron seem to be marketing this to is wildlife and sports photographers and anyone wanting a great value super telephoto lens.
So I have tested this lens not only on my a7iii but the aps-c a6400 and also my sony fx6 in video mode. Mind you the aps-c cameras give you a 225-750mm focal range which is incredible. So there are a few different reasons why I did this and I will explain further on in the video but the results were very interesting to say the least.
So tamrons main competitor in this range would be the sony version. The 100-400 f4.5-5.6 lens which is very similay form factor and a slightly faster lens which you wont really notice the aperture difference at longer focal lengths. Low light performance is very impressive in most sony cameras. The sony gmaster lens comes in at $2498 US where as the tamron is way cheaper at $1399 US. It is almost a no brainer here with the price specialy for people who love wildlife photography and don’t want to fork out an extra $1100 US for the gmaster. Plus you gain an extra 100mm on the tamron lens which could be a make or break when getting real close to your subject.
