Of course this question won‘t come up for a weekend trip or a week long trip. But knowing how to handle your flat while your traveling can help you save money 💰

We discussed the pro‘s and con‘s of subleasing yesterday in our live and here‘s the result:

➕Having a secure home upon return, so you don‘t have to stress about finding a new place as your trip comes to an end
➕ Not having to sell all the furniture
➕ saving money cause moving always is expensive and maybe you can even rent your flat for a little more money and be happy with the plus in your travel account
➖ less flexibility
➖ risk of damaging (you can set a high deposit for that)

We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to sublease with the permission of our landlord for a year and we can not recommend it enough. If you plan on going on a longer trip (over a few months) it‘s the perfect solution. We used wggesucht and Instagram to find our subrenter and it helps living in a bigger city like munich, where a lot of people search for a decent home 🏡
