Hawker centers are part of the everyday life in Singapore. It's such an integral way of life in Singapore that it has been recognized by UNESCO for its cultural significance; it's now on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list, the first of its kind in the country. But this culture is under threat – many hawkers are aging, and being a hawker is not a typical career choice for youngsters. CGTN's Miro Lu visits two famous hawker brands – Cho Kee Wanton Noodles, a multi-generational hawker stall, and Hawker Chan Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodles, a Michelin-Star award winner – to find out how they are trying to preserve their legacy.
