19th of November 2024, more than a hundred young people from Norway, Ukraine and Poland gathered online to make their dream society. This is what they came up with!
The online exchange event “A Tale of Three Cities” is the result of a cooperation with the European Wergeland Centre, Lublin municipality, Sempre a Frente and Spillhuset Bergen. It is financed by by the EEA and Norway Grants.
It is part of the “Youth for the City, City for the Youth” programme, which aims to strengthen young people’s resilience to handle crisis and reinforce their ability to participate in public life.
The young participants were asked to reflect on how they wanted their dream society to look like, and how they imagined their future.
Meeting online, the participants got to see how youth from other parts of Europe imagined their dream societies. Teachers received resources and teaching programs on democracy and citizenship that could be used in the classroom both before and after the event.
When young people take action, they can change the world. We support young people in developing key democratic competences.
