The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, affectionately known as the "Six Triple Eight," was a trailblazing, predominantly black battalion of the Women's Army Corps (WAC). Comprising 855 remarkable women, including three Latinas, both enlisted and officers, this courageous unit was led by the inspiring Major Charity Adams.
