Former Fed Vice Chair and PIMCO Global Economic Advisor Richard Clarida tells Bloomberg a September rate cut by the Fed could be possible, but a lot would need to go right over the coming months. It comes after Fed policymakers kept rates steady at a more than two-decade high and dialed back their forecasts to pencil in just one quarter-point rate cut by year end, about half of what markets are pricing in.
