Our Incredible India 🇮🇳 has a rich history of handicrafts. Sach mein yeh desh KALAKAARON ka desh hai!
- Around 70 Lakh people are employed in the handicraft sector
- Even then 7 lakh people are leaving the handicraft sector each year.
- History of Bastar Dhokra dates back to more than 4000 years.
- All our handicrafts are made using materials derived directly from nature!
- 60% of people in Channapatna village are employed as artisans!
- Handicraft sector employs 40 Lakh women, that’s more than the population of Goa!
- Handicraft sector contributes around 4.2 billion USD to the Indian economy.
But then WHY our artisans are leaving this sector?
